Alan in the middle with his big smile the whole world can see with his cousins
We did a few visitations, and a lot of running around to get the Birthday party going for the Flores family. The short story is: Their Dad (Martin) fell 3 stories off a church roof while he was painting and lived. This all happened back in May, and he cannot walk without a cane. So he hasn’t been working for 3 months now. And it ‘s one of his children’s birthday today (Alan’s)
So we ordered a special cake to be made from scratch from a local baker whom we found out later was related to Pastor Leo. We even had to order a piñata to be made. Come to find out, this was the first piñata party they ever had.
After we picked up the piñata, we headed back over to the Flores family home. And I’ll never forget the moment when Alan came home from school later that evening and saw the piñata hanging up. He was so excited… “It’s Super Man!” he exclaimed! So the party started out with just Alan, but all of a sudden kids multiplied in minutes lol.
After a couple kids got a good whack at the piñata and sang some songs, unfortunately the joyous celebration must end. But it ended on a joyfully peaceful note with family gathered around, sipping and eating fresh coconut’s from the trees in the area, “Mochas Gracias cousin Lupe!” This was the first time in while where family got together at the Flores family home. The Lord is doing a work here.
Cousin Lupe
Acts 20:32-35 “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel.
Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me. I have shewed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the word’s of the Lord Jesus, how He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'”
